The place is very clean and you get a happy felling eating there. We will definitely be back again and try a couple other of their lunch specials. Some come with soup or salad, some neither. Her Chicken F was served over pasta, no soup or salad for that lunch special. Her Chicken F was good she said but the piece she let me try didn’t strike me as great, just ok but then again I had the very tasty Alfredo in front of me which was very good. Came with soup or salad, I had the salad, decent salad, but nothing special, the ranch dressing was good. The Alfredo sauce and the noodles were great, huge serving and the second best Alfredo sauce I’ve ever had. This time I had the Fettuccine Alfredo and she had Chicken Florentine. Ray brought out a bread basket and butter and the bread was tasty and warm. lot of 9.99 lunch specials to choose from. We have been here about 5 times for lunch in the past two years and the food has always been good. Our waiter Ray was very good, friendly and efficient. Today my girlfriend and I went for lunch. Mario's in midtown, picano's in troy, la dolce vita in detroit on woodward, da francesco's on van dyke, Luciano's on garfield, or our families favorite, Giovanni's on oakwood in Detroit. You want to eat Italian around detroit? Try antonio's on 14 mile. I would never go to olive garden, but I'll bet my life they have better Italian food than this place. I didn't want to write this at all, but since we are Italian, the food actually felt like a personal insult to our heritage.
I don't care who owns a place, but you need an Italian making Italian food, or at least skilled chef. If you like won ton soup, order the tortellini soup. Was that veal? really? Everything drenched in too much sauce to hide nothing there. The pasta sauce was awful, the polpette(meatballs) were worse. You cannot make Italian food correctly when the chef is a muslim and won't use/touch pork.
